The original, written and directed by Joel Anderson, told the documentary-style tale of a family grieving the loss of their 16-year-old girl, a process that is brought up short as strange events begin occurring after her burial. The titular body of water holds answers as to just what their little girl was doing in life that they will probably wish they didn’t know. More info on this avaliable HERE.

I've never even heard of the original. Sounds a little like a cross of The Wicker Man and Don't Look Now though.

Wait a minute, so they're remaking a movie from 2008? Wow, that's a new low.

Correct, maskedman. The original hasn't even hit our shores yet, but bosses are saying they're getting ready to prep a version made over here.

REC is coming, Quarantine is like a mirror copy of it, so if you cannot wait see that. REC is a great film.

I know it's been announced for a DVD release, but we got a remake before most of us in the states even got a chance to see the original, it's insane!

I saw the original on line before the remake, their the same film, does not matter which one you see.

It's still the principle of the situation: you're seeing a remake of a film before the original, which has already been released in most other areas, has a chance to make a dent on the same audience. That's what's fucked up about the situation, not whether or not what version is better.

Yeah, Hollywood must be REALLY desperate if they're remaking from films from last year!!! That's just insane!

Whatever, I already saw REC before Quarantine, and if you so wanna see the original search it out, not hard.

I'm not really bitching. I just hate the idea of people being force-fed a remake when they don't have full access to the original that's all.

Then don't see the remake and wait patiently for the original...
