Normally, I'd put this under the foreign section but it was dubbed in English.
A girl risks her life and plunges into a jungle hell in search of her missing sister. Throughout her perilous journey she must fend off hungry cannibal tribes and avoid being served up as a sacrificial lamb for a good old-fashioned suicide cult!
Directed by Umberto Lenzi

I'm not too big on cannibal movies and this wasn't really any different or enough to change my opinion. Very slow in parts and only a few noteworthy gore scenes. I don't get off on the animal brutality like some people so those scenes were pretty upsetting as well, but I've seen worse.
I'm told Lenzi's own Cannibal Ferox is superior to this, any thoughts?

I love both of those, top-notch cannibal films of the highest order behind only Jungle Holocaust and Cannibal Holocaust. Eaten Alive is kinda like Mountain of the Cannibal God, a starter film to test the waters of the genre to see if the more extreme stuff will be to your liking. Mainly that's due to Eaten Alive's use of stock footage from those three other movies, but if you don't know the scenes, you won't notice.

Full Moon does the stock stuff as well, and films like Sorority House Massacre used footage of Slumber Party Massacre.
