Quatermass Xperiment follows the journeymen race to the stars encountering a mysterious cataclysm that will forever change mankind. Those who survive will be consumed by an unknown alien force hellbent on devouring the world. Earths only chance is Professor Quatermass.
What does everyone think of this?

Ha as I put this up I knew you would have saw the original. I never even heard of the original before I saw this yesterday on Bloody Disgusting. Does not sounds like my thing really at all.

Well, supposedly there's four films in the series:
The Quartermass Xperiment Quartermass II: Enemy from Space Quartermass and the Pit
All those were theatrical releases, with the last one being routinely regarded as the best. Then there's an in-name-only-connected TV movie: The Quartermass Conclusion which hasn't been released outside of England.
There's also been two or three different TV series based around the character, though I haven't seen any of them.
