Three American college students studying abroad are lured to a Slovakian hostel, and discover the grim reality behind it.
What does everyone think of this?
Great film, and underrated.

Better than the first, but again, far too many things I had problems with to really get into this one.

Wonderfully directed film, Eli Roth did fantastic here.

No comment on that. It's better than the first, but I still didn't think it was all that worthwhile.

Eli Roth bombed bad with Cabin Fever, but by Hostel 2 he knew out to shoot and make a film. I still don't think he deserves the high praise he gets....with only one film and one film and it's sequel.

It's because people caught caught up in his hype because he compared himself to the 'greats' of the genre and gave him a free pass.

And I am gonna be honest, I find him a little annoying.

Yeah, he reminds me of the prototypical New York douchebag when I hear him in interviews.

Yeah me to, plus he acts like he has the worst case of ADD ever. Drives me crazy.

Yeah, that shifting around in the chair, throwing his arms around (which I admit reminds me of my dad as he does it to) gets to me, but that condescending tone he gets when he starts talking about the films and where they come from is where I really start to hate on him.

Oh yeah me to, I am not even sure if he would be nice to fans either.

Roth seems like a OK guy to me, if somewhat overconfident of himself, and as for his ADD thing, well I do that alot myself so it dosen't really bother me.

He compared himself to the greats of the genre? I've listened to his commentarys on his dvds and he seems to be very modest so I find that very hard to believe.

It's more in the fact that he feels the need to think, "Well, it worked then, I'll put it into mine and have people love mine just as much," which is just fucking aggravating.
