When Kimberly has a violent premonition of a highway pileup she blocks the freeway, keeping a few others meant to die, safe...Or are they? The survivors mysteriously start dying and it's up to Kimberly to stop it before she's next
What does everyone think of this?
Though I have seen it one to many times (about 10 times), I still think it is damn solid, with great kills.
Great open.

Any reason why you saw it so often?

I like this one more, but I don't think it's a better movie. The opening is great, the highway disaster is spectacular, but it chews up a ton of time and makes the rest of the movie rushed, like an action movie which tends to make it nowhere near as suspenseful as the first. A few good opportunities do present themselves, but are mostly wasted because of the failure to build them up properly due to it's frantic pacing, when had it just had a little bit more time to stretch things out a tad, it could've been an absolute blast.
And oddly, despite the relatively high blood and gore in here, my favorite scene is actually the one of them in the car talking about the relationships they had to the victims in the first one. Absolutely stand-out piece of writing that actually makes the sequel more worthwhile than it should've been.

Strange GL, don't you usually hate character development scenes since in your words they "wasted time that could be spent on the action"?

This was a more comedic show, it for me is solid as all hell, good cast and outstanding kill scenes make this a standout.

Well this is my favorite film of the series by far for having the best opening and for the original of having people that don't know each other getting involved with the main girl.

I think the open is the weakest of the 4, but that is me

It does have the best opening, I thought, but it's way too light on scares and suspense for me to think of it as anything other than the second best.

None of the FD films gave me any suspense or scares, like Bobby i viewed them as popcorn films so scares and suspense were pretty much the last thing I was expecting from these films, so them not having any was hardly a downside to me, this film did make me jump a few times though.

The 2 -4 were not supposed to be scary, there horror but not scary flicks, they do have suspensful scenes cause you wonder when the kill is coming.
