After having a vision of his friends crashing in a plane, he tells them not to get on only later his friends start getting killed one by one.
What does everyone think of this?
Still a great film, a ton of fun, and still kinda creepy. Good performances to boot.

Love the premise, great tension, a couple stand-out kill scenes and a great finale, it just gets a little stupid at times and tends to overlook a lot of possibilities for clear answers merely so it can go about it's desired plan of action.
Not that it's detrimental or anything, I betcha most won't even know what I'm talking about, and I'm fine with that.

I have no issues, stupid was the point, and a sense of that would never happen. Gotta check your brain out.

Yeah, I re-watched it a little while after the first viewing with my brain turned off and found it a little bit better.

There fun little popcorn films, moody score helps amp up the creepy parts. Great cast and pretty solid kill set ups, the kills were not gory but the set up's were great.

I know, I love those as well, and it's exactly what the sequels were missing: suspense. Cleverness of execution can't make up the fact that if we're nervous or anxious going into a situation, the outcome won't have nearly the same impact as one that has a great set-up to it, which was the case here. That's why I still think this is the best one of the series.

2-4 are horror slash black comedies, they are more of a spoof on the first. That was the intention.

Well, when you're trying to have creepy set-ups and you spend the majority of the time trying to laugh at the situation, it really devalues the event when it happens.

I have nothing but respect for the series, I have yet to be bored by a second of any of the films, they truly are entertaining as shits and gory as fuck.

Couldn't have said it better, but if we're ranking them, I'd go with this one first.

Thanks I may have to rank them at some point, I am also doing a David Decoteau film rank and that is turning out harder then expected. Ranks can be rather difficult but fun to do.
