Andrew and Vicky McGee met while earning money as guinea pigs for an experiment at college. The experiment was shrouded in suspicion and mystery, and seemed to be related to psychic abilities. The two were married and had a daughter Charile, who has the ability to start fires by merely thinking about it. Naturally, the government takes a great interest in Charlie, and operatives from the secret department known as "The Shop" want to quarrantine and study her.
What does everyone think of this?
No Carrie but pretty good, could use a remake cause the original is really outdated.

I thought this movie was better than Carrie actually. Very well made movie, awesome cast. George C. Scott plays Rainbird to the bone.

I liked it more than Carrie as well, which I found just decent, barely average and not that spectacular while this one was pretty good.

I have the sequel burned to a dvd, but I have not watched it yet, it looked a little bit lame and had bad reviews. Maybe I will get around to watching it one day, it might be good. It has Dennis Hopper and Malcom McDowell in it.

Another rule I have for watching films is that I never let bad reviews deter me from watching a film I want to see, and any movie that has both Mcdowell and Hopper in it can't be all bad.

Also Tope Hooper made a film with a very similar premise called Spontaneous Combustion.

Well.....
I don't trust other people's reviews. It is has like one scene where she sets people on fire at the end, the other part, is lots of crying and lost of hiding out.
