The film centers upon a B-movie director who accidentally frees all manner of demons and creatures while filming his latest film at an abandoned cabin somewhere in the woods. Directed by German gore mongers Timo Rose and Andreas Schnaas, for those interested. Trailer avaliable HERE.

If only Olaf Ittenbach was handling the effects for this one, that would be top-notch. His work is uniformly better than either Rose's or Schnaas', but both do have highlights in their past that allows this to be considered a top-notch release.

Evil Dead-type movies are one of my favorite horror subgenres. Behind slashers and creature features that is.

I was never into Evil Dead like films actually. Evil Dead is overrated.

I agree, they are a little overrated. But still fun films.

Yeah, Evil Dead is definitely an overrated series, to be honest I haven't seen Army Of Darkness and don't ever really intend to do so.

Army of Darkness is hilarious, you should give it a shot. Probably the funniest horror film of all time.

I like to beg to differ that.

In any genre, up against any film, Army of Darkness is more laugh-packed than any of them.

Well, I'm a slapstick person, so people getting hit or smacked around, or pretty much imitating The Three Stooges, will make me laugh for ages. This one was packed with it.

Oh man do I loathe the Three Stooges.

That's the first time I've ever seen a guy admit that. They're just utterly hilarious.
