Ha I actually prefer the remake lol, I like the original just a little cluttered and a little pacey.

The remake is the best of the trend that the US has done, it completely clobbers the original in every way and has nothing wrong with it at all.

Thanks for being on my side on this one GL, the remake has a lot to great to offer, it has way better pacing then the original, it has creepier moments and it has cooler kill set ups. And not confusing.

The confusing thing alone may be the single best reason, you and me had so much trouble with the original and the remake has none of that. That reason alone, it's better.
But then you add in the better scares, better kills and better pacing and it's such a landslide it's almost impossible to say otherwise.

It just saddens me that people like the original better, there honestly is nothing that good about the original, it is maybe one of the weaker Asians ghost flicks out there. It brings nothing new and great to the table, the remake does.

I haven't seen the original either and have no desire to, but the remake still sounds like raw sewage to me regardless.

And it's the views of people like that which are the real crimes, committed to arguing against the radical thoughts and expressions of others merely for being different than those which hold up some viewpoint that dictates it's not going to change merely because they are championing a film which has no right to be but is since it came first.

I don't know, I was ticked off and got a little rambling there. Basically, the gist is that thinking that just because a film has a reputation for being great doesn't automatically make it hallowed ground, and it is possible for people to like remakes more than the original. It was just a long, winding road to get to that point, I guess.
