John, Julian, and Paul enter the Kaibab National Forest for a three-week survival trip and peyote vision quest. The only items they take with them are a knife, a bottle of water, and a garbage bag each. A week into their journey a disastrous turn of events changes everything and the men are forced to ultimately confront the darkest corners of their morality and mortality. Battling the elements and each other, the quest becomes to make it out of the forest alive."
What does everyone think of this?

I love horror films set in the woods so this sounds like a winner to me. I wish GL would update this section again. I am gonna have to make more time to do it.

I wish I could update the section, but apparently my friends' computer has it set on itself that visiting the Dread-Central site constitutes me visiting a spyware site and won't let me view it, so therefore I can't do anything.
Although, if we're going to get crap like this coming out, I don't really see the rush in fixing it anytime soon. ;D

LOL GL.
It sounds like it could be a good survival horror film. Maybe it's me. Dreadcentral is a slow site for me. Drives me nuts.

Well, if the computer I'm on doesn't let me go there and it screws you up somewhat, maybe there's something to it.

What exactly is spyware?
|
|
|
Post by GL on Feb 26, 2010 10:03:16 GMT -6
I'm not sure exactly, but if you believe those TV commercials for free computer cleaning software, it's 'bad.' It's supposedly as bad as viruses, but I at least know what those are. I'm not the most computer-literate person around, so I have no idea what it/they are.

I've got no worries about spyware as I downloaded one of those free anti-spyware programs, it's been very effective at removing spyware form my computer, both of you should download one of those, the one I have is called Super Anti-Spyware.

Yeah, thanks. The one I had on my old one that's crashed at the moment is Webroot, which I really loved a lot. Blocked a bunch of shit and never banned me from a site. Still couldn't tell the difference between a log-in cookie and a spy cookie, but it was a really good one and I miss it a lot.

Now about viruses, what exactly is the difference between them?

|

I think viruses actually destroy your files or just generally fuck up their performance. Cookies are the magic little programs that enable us to enter information into a website that identifies us (when you log into a message board, for instance, that's done through cookies) but some sneak in on other websites without your knowledge and just simply spy on you. Tracking your library so that the owner is able to put you onto mailing lists, which is where you get spam.
