Yeah, because with the entire series consisting of outsiders attempting to stop/take over a group of followers that have accepted a different religious belief than is normally accepted, with their own codes of conduct doesn't make them a cult?
How about their cult-like obedience and fear of Issac? Following his orders without a shred of hesitation to the somewhat criminal acts he inspires them to commit, himself not offering any back when it comes to showing restraint or mercy on others?
Or the fact that they all worship a separate God than the usually-accepted Christian one that watches over humanity in a cloud in the sky, here manifested as a being that lives in the same environment they do and are shown to interact with it on several occasions, while the leader claims to be in constant contact with it spreading it's message to his followers, inspiring aforementioned obedience and fear?
That they all follow rites and rituals, which again are found to be separate from the usually-accepted Christian rituals, wherein their society doesn't live past a certain, predetermined age or else be considered to be a sinner in their eyes and are no better off than the ones that were already wiped out years before, and that in order to appear virtuous and just in this society, a sacrifice of their lives must be made to the God who lives among them?
All of those mentioned are prime fodder found in Cult films, and I could go on and on here with more, but I don't have to in order to say that these films are all Supernatural; Cult films, and are not slashers. If you've seen them all, you would know that. I recall you seeing a couple, but not quite positive, but really, seeing them all gives you the clearest clue these are cult films through and through.

No way. There is not even a real sub genre called cult films.

Excuse me while I call upon some others out there-
The Believers Borderland The Brotherhood The Brotherhood 2: Young Warlocks The Brotherhood III: Young Demons The Brotherhood IV: The Complex The Brotherhood V: Alumni Daughter of Darkness The Devil's Rain The Gathering (both versions) Hallowed Ground The Lair of the White Worm Night Terrors The Resurrected The Ritual Satan's Blood Satan's School for Girls (both versions) The Sentinel Soulkeeper Suspiria Vengeance of the Zombies The Wicker Man (both versions)
Hmm, seems like none to me as well.

And besides Suspiria look at that. None have the slasher elements like Children Of the Corn do. They can be cult slashers or Supernatural slashers. Not everything has to be black and white.

Who gives a flying fuck if there's slasher elements!?!? It is possible for a film to have a body count of more than six and not be a slasher or have any sort of slasher tendencies. These films here all have that feeling, and they're all Supernatural; Cult films with very little to nothing about them that is in any way, shape or appearance remotely resembling a slasher flick.

Why is it that you think your always right? I went in the middle calling them supernatural slashers. Why must you always be black and white.

I don't know about the sequels, but if they are anything like the original they are not slashers, cult slashers, or supernatural slashers, or any other kind of slashers. this is getting pretty old, but not everyone needs to agree

Frankly, bobby, what do you have about looking at things in black-and-white? It gives balance and order to everything and you know where everything is.
And thanks, Wahlberg, for the back-up.
